What You'll Do:
- This position is responsible for coordinating shipping schedules, supervising shipping and receiving staff, and maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The Shipping and Receiving Supervisor works closely with production, inventory, and logistics teams to optimize shipping processes and resolve any issues that may arise. They are accountable for maintaining accurate shipping records, managing shipping costs, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. Ultimately, this role ensures that customer orders are fulfilled efficiently, contributing to overall customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
What You'll Bring:
- BS or BA in supply chain, operations, logistics, or related field required.
- 3-5 years of related experience in shipping or logistics role with progressing degrees of responsibility.
- At least 2 years of supervising personnel..
- APICS certification desired (CSCP or CPIM).
- Working knowledge of ERP Systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Knowledge of import/export regulations and DOT requirements.
- Must have good communication skills and an ability to build relationships internally as well as externally.
- Self-starter with excellent time-management skills.
