Join our team at the Steele County Free Fair! We are seeking reliable, energetic individuals to help set up and tear down the Grandstand stage. If you enjoy hands-on, active outdoor work and are looking for a quick temp gig, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

Shift Schedule
Note: Shift dates and times listed below are approximate and subject to change as event schedules finalize closer to the fair.

Tuesday, Aug 18: 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM (Setup)
Thursday, Aug 20: 10:00 AM - 10:30 AM (Quick Reset)
Friday, Aug 21: 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM (Prep) AND 9:30 PM - Finish (Teardown)

Responsibilities:

• Safely assist with the assembly, positioning, and teardown of stage equipment.
• Follow direct instruction from the Stage Coordinator to meet strict event deadlines.
• Handle equipment, staging materials, and gear safely and efficiently.
• Keep the stage and work area clean, organized, and clear of hazards.

Working hours: 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM (Various Shifts Available)

Skills:

• Previous stage crew, production, or general labor experience is a plus, but not required!

No Degree Required

Experience:
0-1 years

Qualifications:

• Physical Ability: Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and handle physical labor outdoors.
• Reliability & Flexibility: Punctuality is essential?events depend on the stage being ready on time, and schedule flexibility is needed if show times shift slightly.
• Work Attire: Comfortable, weather-appropriate clothes suitable for heavy lifting. Steel-toed boots are strongly recommended.
