Machine Operation: Set up, adjust, and operate welding machines (bottom, projection, seam), presses, shears, brakes, flanges, and expanders.Fabrication & Assembly: Perform specialized tasks such as rod stacking, layout, cover punching, and tank unhanging.Material Handling: Position, hang, and remove transformer tanks and accessory parts from powered overhead conveyor lines; operate hoists and powered industrial trucks.Quality & Measurement: Work from blueprints, oven pick lists, and quality instructions (PQP/NFOI) using simple measuring devices to ensure accuracy.Maintenance: Perform routine machine and equipment upkeep to ensure operational readiness and a clean, orderly work area.Safety & Compliance: Actively participate in safety programs, including the proper handling and disposal of chemicals, paints, and waste materials.

Industry Experience: Prior experience in a welding shop, metal fabrication facility, or heavy manufacturing environment.Educational Background: Possession of a High School Diploma or GED.Advanced Equipment Handling: Previous experience operating powered industrial trucks (forklifts) or specialized metal-shaping equipment (expanders/brakes).
Literacy & Numeracy: Ability to read and comprehend written safety manuals, quality standards, and operating instructions; must be able to perform basic mathematical functions.Technical Proficiency: Ability to operate various manual and powered hand tools and interpret simple measuring instruments.Physical Capability: Physically able to perform essential job functions, including handling materials in the medium-heavy weight range and wearing all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).Environmental Adaptability: Ability to work effectively in an industrial environment that may include heat, fumes, and noise.
