Responsibilities:
Perform the following:
*Client Consultation: Interview clients to gather financial data, W-2s, 1099s, and expense records.
*Tax Preparation & Filing: Compute taxes owed or refunds, and prepare accurate federal, state, and local tax returns.
*Tax Planning & Strategy: Advise clients on, and identify potential, deductions and credits to minimize tax liability.
*Data Accuracy: Review records for compliance, verifying data input to detect errors in arithmetic or procedure.
*Software Utilization: Use professional tax software
*Client Service: Build rapport, answer tax questions, and provide year-round planning assistance
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
*Requires at least a high school diploma or GED, Associates or Bachelor's degrees in accounting/finance preferred.
*Active PTIN (Preparer Tax Identification Number) from the IRS is required.
*Knowledge of current tax laws, codes, and regulations.
*Excellent computer skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in, or ability to learn, tax preparation software
