The Team Lead is responsible for the direct supervision and coordination of daily warehouse activities within a shift. This includes leading, coaching, and motivating a team of warehouse associates to achieve optimal levels of productivity, accuracy, safety, and efficiency in all areas of the distribution center, including receiving, inventory management, picking, packing, and shipping. The successful candidate acts as the primary point of contact for operational issues and ensures compliance with all company procedures and safety standards.

1st: 7am-3:30pm
2nd: 11:30am-8pm
Responsibilities:
- Lead and motivate a team of 10-20 associates, providing coaching, training, and performance feedback.
- Coordinate daily workflow, assign tasks (e.g., cycle counting, put-away, order fulfillment), and manage staffing levels to meet service level agreements (SLAs).
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as throughput, order accuracy, and shipping deadlines, taking corrective action when necessary.
- Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols, conducting regular safety audits, and investigating all incidents and near-misses.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues related to inventory discrepancies, equipment malfunctions, and delays in the workflow.
- Maintain clear and effective communication between shifts and with management regarding daily progress and challenges.
- Operate the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track inventory, process orders, and generate performance reports.
Skills:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Current certification to operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklift, order picker).
- Experience implementing or working within a Lean or Six Sigma framework.
- Proven track record in continuous improvement initiatives that resulted in measurable cost or efficiency gains.
- Bilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish/English) is a strong asset.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory or lead role within a distribution, warehouse, or logistics environment.
- Demonstrated strong leadership, interpersonal, and team-building skills.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and RF scanner technology.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting and training purposes.
- Ability to stand/walk for 8+ hours and lift/move up to 50 pounds.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
