Spherion Vermont is seeking a Temporary Administrative Assistant for Alumni Relations that will help in strengthening and sustaining the long-term engagement of university alumni, friends, and donors. Responsibilities:
-Provide high-quality administrative and operational support to the Alumni Relations team, including tracking program participation, coordinating event logistics, and assisting with volunteer engagement initiatives.
-Contribute to the effective day-to-day operations and welcoming onsite presence at the UVM Alumni House, ensuring smooth building functionality and a positive experience for visitors and staff.
-Serve as an active, collaborative team member to support the execution of Alumni Relations initiatives and advance program goals in alignment with the UVM Foundation.
-Work in partnership with UVM Foundation colleagues to strengthen alumni engagement efforts and enhance overall program effectiveness.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Skills:
-Industry Experience: Administrative assistant experience specifically within a higher education setting.
-Relationship Building: Skilled relationship builder with experience in a customer relations setting and strong interpersonal skills.
-Technical Expertise: Superior skills in the Microsoft Office suite, specifically with high efficiency in data manipulation and document management.

Qualifications:
-Education & Experience: Associate???s degree with three years of professional administrative assistant experience OR any equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved.
-Communication: Demonstrated written and oral communication skills.
-Software: Ability to learn software applications quickly (including database utilization and setting up software for efficient use).
-Organization: Highly organized, flexible, collaborative, and able to remain responsive to multiple colleagues and senior-level professionals.
-Project Management: Effective at managing multiple projects simultaneously, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to balance the needs of team members.
-Problem Solving: Ability to think independently and use critical and creative thinking to solve problems in a complex environment.
