Work with electronic assemblies, conducts, as directed, test and data collections activities in support of the development of technologies, products, and processes, to meet cost, schedule and performance requirements of the customer, in accordance with ISO and Lean Manufacturing methodologies.

Responsibilities:
- Conducts tests of new components, assemblies and systems based on test criteria as established by policies and procedures and/or written test plans; maintains accurate records of test results and reports results to appropriate development and testing.
- Provides technical support for existing products to assist in the solution of design-related performance, production and field problems.
- Prepares prototypes of components assembles of either new or current product as directed by policies and procedures and/or written test plans or work requests. Ensures that the prototypes meet established specifications.
- Establishes and maintains positive, productive working relationships within assigned teams and with all applicable departments, customers and vendors.
- Assists in project scheduling and reports status per established schedules.
- Assist Sr. Mfg Engineer with special projects and/or new product/process implementation.
- Observe established safe working and housekeeping procedures. Promptly correct and/or notify Manager of hazardous situations.
- Participate in and take proactive roles in ISO and Lean Manufacturing methodologies for problem prevention, corrective action, identification, and solution verification.
- Perform changeover of tools, fixtures, and test set-ups.
- Ensures Test Equipment uptime meets an acceptable standard, mandatory to perform all qualification checks prior to testing production ready units. Entails toubleshooting test equipment malfunctions, evaluation PCBs as needed.
- Set up automated and/or Manual test stations, whichever is required to complete an order/assignment.
- Required to train other personnel as instructed by Engineering, Program Manager, Supervisor and/or Group Leader.
- Accountable to ensure testing throughput obligations are met via the production schedule, assist with information for planning schedules, and completes projects on time and according to the specific performance necessities and costs.
- Apply, follow lean manufacturing principles at all levels.
- Interfaces with Process and Manufacturing Engineering with reference to new product designs to ensure efficient testing methods are implemented.
- Assist MFG Engineer with production test cycle times and ensures routings are correct and sustainable.
- Responsible for supporting efforts concerning product failures and deciding root cause and recovery options.
Working hours: 5:30 AM - 4:00 PM, MON - THURS
Skills:
--Associates degree or two-year technical degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
--2 year's experience as a production test technician, product tester or similar role.
--Proficiency in testing procedures and protocols.
--Team player, the ability to work well with others.
--Analytical thinking skills.
--Attention to detail.
--Excellent verbal communication skills.
--Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.

High School
Experience:
4-7 years
Qualifications:
--2-5 years of work experience in a similar manufacturing environment.
--Previous fiber optic assembly experience.
