Responsibilities:
Hand out necessary tools, fixtures, and equipment to machinery operators.

Keep accurate inventory records using computer systems and standard software programs.

Inspect tools for wear or damage and coordinate repairs or replacements.

Monitor inventory levels and notify supervisors of supply needs before stock runs low.

Assist with setting up tooling for machine operations when requested.

Ensure all equipment is clean, organized, and properly stored.

Read blueprints, schematics, and measurement instruments to verify specifications.

Track tool usage and generate inventory reports using basic computer applications.

Follow workplace safety rules, wear required protective equipment, and maintain a safe workspace.

Working hours: 4:00 PM - 3:00 AM

Skills:
Precision Measurement & Blueprint Reading: Skilled in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and engineering schematics; proficient in taking accurate measurements using micrometers, dial/digital calipers, and fixed gauges.

Computer & Inventory Software Skills: Proficient with inventory management software, digital checkout systems, and standard Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) for tracking tool usage and stock levels.

Shop Experience: Background working in a machine shop, warehouse, or industrial technical setting with hands-on knowledge of machining tooling, fixtures, and shop floor operations.

Safety & Compliance: Thorough understanding of OSHA workplace safety standards, machinery safe-handling practices, and proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.

Tool & Equipment Management: Receive, store, issue, and track tools, fixtures, and materials used by machining and production personnel.

Precision Inspection: Utilize micrometers, dial/digital calipers, and gauges to inspect incoming and returned tooling for wear, tolerance accuracy, and damage before reissue.

Maintenance & Readiness: Clean, lubricate, and perform minor adjustments or basic maintenance on tools to ensure they are fully functional, calibrated, and ready for immediate use.

Inventory Control: Maintain accurate inventory records of hand tools, power tools, cutting tools, and precision instruments using manual or digital tracking systems.

Workspace Safety & Organization: Keep the tool room clean, secure, and organized according to workplace safety standards and 5S principles.
