The Region: This role covers everything North of Saginaw (I-75 up to the Bridge and across to areas like Alpena and Lake Huron).
The Reach: You will work independently in the field, visiting jobsites and customer offices, with occasional showroom coverage.
Availability: Our clients rely on us; you should be accessible to your partners via phone from Monday through Saturday, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
Base Salary: $50,000
Commission: Significant earning potential based on performance (target $15,000+ in year one).
Responsibilities:
- As an Outside Sales Representative, you will be the face of the brand from Saginaw through the Upper Peninsula. Your mission is to prospect for new business and provide expert consultation to your trade partners.
- Proactively identify and "hunt" for new opportunities with contractors and residential builders.
- Use your eye for detail to read blueprints, take measurements on-site, and recommend the best product applications for new builds and remodels.
- Establish long-term trust with trade organizations and homeowners to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
- Manage the sales process from the initial quote in our software to the final contract, ensuring all customer expectations are met.
- Represent the company at Home Building Association events and home shows.
Skills:
- This position is specifically for the Saginaw and Northern Michigan territory. Candidates must reside in or be willing to travel throughout this region.
Qualifications:
- A competitive spirit and the persistence to see a sale through to the finish line.
- The ability to engage groups of 1-20 people and present detailed proposals with confidence.
- Ability to learn Michigan Residential Building Codes, use measuring tools, and navigate CRM/quoting software.
- A stable work history that demonstrates your commitment and reliability.
- Comfort driving long distances, climbing ladders/scaffolding, and occasionally lifting 50+ lbs.
- High School diploma required; College degree preferred.
