Location: Hammond, LA
Pay Rate: $18.00 / hour
Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Responsibilities:
Unload trucks, check in inventory, match purchase orders, and route items for processing.
Read customer orders, shipping manifests, and work requisitions to accurately gather, move, and ship freight.
Track daily pickups and deliveries, monitor driver check calls, and verify load accuracy for accounting.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse floor for team members and traffic.
Assemble products and assist with regular inventory counts as needed.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Skills:
Communication: Ability to clearly report load statuses, coordinate with drivers and internal teams, and follow safety documentation.
Critical Thinking: Ability to interpret work orders, diagrams, and written instructions to resolve logistics issues on the fly.
Adaptability: Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle shifting daily inventory priorities seamlessly.

Qualifications:
Physical Demands: Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 75 lbs continuously throughout the shift.
Communication: English proficiency (verbal and written) for safety compliance, team coordination, and load documentation.
Tech & Skills: Basic computer skills, critical thinking abilities, and familiarity with handheld scanners.
Experience: Prior dock or warehouse experience in trailer loading/unloading within the transportation industry is highly preferred.
Education & Screening: High School Diploma or GED required; must pass a background check and drug screening.
