As a Warehouse Associate, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient flow of freight and the accuracy of our inventory. Working alongside an experienced management team that understands the complexities of the transportation industry, you will be responsible for the physical handling of goods as well as the administrative tracking of shipments. Responsibilities:
Shipping & Receiving: Assist with daily activities including unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, and matching purchase orders to sales orders.
Order Fulfillment: Accurately read customer orders, work orders, and shipping requisitions to gather and distribute items for shipment.
Logistics Coordination: Take check calls from drivers to ensure on-time delivery; monitor daily pick-ups and validate all load data for accounting purposes before marking loads as delivered.
Safety & Maintenance: Maintain a clean, accessible, and safe warehouse environment for both employees and customers; strictly adhere to all company safety policies.
Inventory Control: Participate in regular inventory counts and assist in the assembly of products as needed.
Quality Assurance: Verify that all incoming and outgoing loads arrive in good condition and match the required documentation.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Skills:
Communication: Basic written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with drivers and team members.
Tech Savvy: Basic computer skills for data entry and load validation
Education:
No Degree Required
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
Proven ability to complete work in a safe manner and follow rigorous safety procedures.
