The individual in this role will be responsible for welding and fabrication of metals as assigned. They must develop and maintain a positive professional relationship with all employees. The work environment is consistent with manufacturing; project installation, maintenance activity and grimy work conditions.

Responsibilities:
-Positions, aligns, fits and welds together prefabricated parts.
-Develops layouts and plans sequence of operations.
-Sets up and operates fabricating machines (e.g. iron worker, brakes, rolls, shears, flame cutters, drill presses).
-Designs and constructs templates and fixtures.
-Verifies conformance of work piece to specifications.
-Fabricates and assembles sheet metal products.

Working hours: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Experience:
4-7 years

Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-5 years of fabrication welding experience
- Will be required to work overtime as needed from 4-8 hours plus weekends.
- May be required to be on call.
- Must complete all assigned or projects tasks efficiently and on time.
- Have welding and fabricating skill for working with a variety of known metals.
- Ability to operate a lathe and milling machine and knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics and electrical trades would be a plus.
- Ability to read and understand to act upon blue prints and sketches as well as verbal instructions.
- Must have own hand tools.
- Have ability to be forklift certified.
- Must posses valid Drivers License and have a good driving record.
- Must have ability to work with minimum supervision.

Physical:
- Will need to lift 10-75 pounds, occasionally to the height of 4 feet and/or carrying 10 feet.
- Will be standing/walking throughout shift

Safety:
- Must wear uniform and steel toed shoes at all times
- Wear back brace, dust mask, safety glasses and gloves when necessary
- Know and follow all safety procedures for each machine or tool used
- Attend all safety training (and the once a month meetings)
- Must address safety issues at work station immediately to supervisor
- Must report accidents and injuries within 24 hours to management
- Must follow all safety requirements and training at all times
