Job Description:

Responsibilities:
- Set up, monitor, and control machinery that cuts lumber products.
- Examine raw wood for defects and measure finished products to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on machinery and make adjustments to equipment.
- Adhere to safety procedures, monitor equipment performance, and maintain a clean and safe workstation
- Grease, oil, lubricate, and service the equipment in the following areas throughout the plant and adjacent area.
- Clean lacquer spray booths, Clean and scrape handle conveyor belts.
- Clean handle drying conveyor, Clean lacquer at spray station feed rolls.
- Clean dust from technocrats Blow down dust in handle finishing department and sweep floors.
- Service, change and repair oilers, oil lines, and grease fittings on all equipment as required.
- Report any broken or worn parts or equipment that is observed in performance of duties.
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalency
Experience: 12 months
Skills:
- Ability to operate various machinery, read technical drawings, and perform basic math.
- Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing for long periods and manual handling of materials.
- Crucial for inspecting wood quality, measuring accurately, and adjusting equipment to specifications.
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment that is not functioning properly.
