Official Rules - 2023 The Orange Vault Employee Rewards Program


This employee rewards program is sponsored by Spherion Staffing, LLC (“Spherion”).

This employee rewards program and any participation in this program is not an employment agreement and is not a promise of continued employment with Spherion or any Spherion franchisee or any of their affiliated entities.

The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entrants.


To be eligible to enter and/or win the Spherion 2023 Orange Vault Employee Rewards program (“Program”), you must be 18 years of age or older at the time of entry; a legal resident of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia; and a temporary employee of Spherion or a participating Spherion franchisee and in “good standing.” Each eligible temporary employee will be referred to as a “Contestant.”

Good standing is defined as: Currently an active temporary employee of Spherion or a participating Spherion franchisee (temporary or temporary-to-permanent) on date of entry and date of award of any prize; Has complied with all explicit obligations of employment, while not being subject to any form of sanction, suspension or disciplinary censure; Has not tendered oral or written notice of intent to resign or retire effective as of a date on or before the conclusion of the Program Period or the awarding of any prize; And has no pending investigations or lawsuits that would affect one’s employment status (based on local, state and federal government laws).

Conditions not related to “good standing” include: Being late or missing work that is less than the defined minimum expectations of the job; Perceptions based on an opinion of an individual versus facts based on employment criteria; Preconceived opinions based on past experiences or history prior to or during the start date of the Program.

Employees, representatives, consultants, subcontractors, and agents of Randstad or any of its subsidiaries or affiliates (other than Spherion), of Spherion or any of its subsidiaries or affiliates (other than the temporary employees), or the temporary employees of non-participating Spherion Franchisees, as well as their spouses and dependents, are not eligible to enter this Program or to win any Program prizes.

Entries and Winner Selection:

A  report will be pulled of all active temporary employees employed by Spherion or participating Spherion franchisees and will be downloaded and consolidated into a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet document prior to the start of the Program with chronological numbers assigned to each eligible Contestant. Winners for each prize will be chosen through a random on-line generator at RANDOM.ORG and will be matched to the corresponding number on the Microsoft Excel spreadsheet. There will be alternate Program winner back-ups for each prize in the event the original winner is deemed ineligible or fails to claim the prize.

Each eligible Contestant will be entered into the drawing for that week’s prizes and will not be eligible for the Grand Prize drawing. Contestants who have converted to the payroll of the client to which the Contestant was assigned prior to the end of the Program Period, will not be eligible for any prizes.

Each winner will be limited to one (1) prize during the Program Period, for which winners will be eligible as set forth above.

If the prospective winner is employed by a participating Spherion franchisee, he or she will be confirmed as follows: The participating franchise owner will receive an email notification of the prospective winner approximately two (2) weeks prior to the public announcement of the winner, and the participating franchisee or their designated contact will confirm the prospective winner is eligible based on the criteria outlined in these Official Rules. Confirmation of eligibility will be completed via a shared Google Document which will include the electronic signature of the participating franchisee or their designated contact. If the prospective winner is not confirmed eligible, the first back-up winner will be next in line with notification of eligibility in the same manner. If the first back-up winner is not confirmed eligible, the second back-up winner will be next in line with notification of eligibility in the same manner. If the second back-up winner is not confirmed eligible, the third back-up winner will be next in line with notification of eligibility in the same manner. If the third back-up winner is not eligible, Spherion will continue to secure back-up prospective winners until one is confirmed eligible. Chosen eligible winners may not transfer their prize to another person or party for the purposes of this Program.

Any determination made by Spherion regarding the eligibility and selection of eligible and final winners shall be final and binding.


Grand Prize (1) – $10,000 cash. The Grand Prize winner will be drawn from all eligible entries at the end of the Program Period.

Local Office Cash Prizes of $100, $200 and $300 totaling $600 per Spherion location (approximately 215) – Three times during the Program, a single winner (one winner each of the three weeks prior to the Grand Prize) from each official Spherion location, defined as a full-service office or on-site location with an assigned and active Spherion department identification number (Dept ID) will be chosen as set forth above to win either one hundred ($100), two hundred ($200) or three hundred ($300) dollars. The dollar amount awarded to the three single winners from the same office will be randomly chosen. Any determination made by Spherion regarding the eligibility of the Spherion locations shall be final and binding.

Specific final prize details will be determined by Spherion and are subject to change based on the discretion of Spherion. Prizes are not transferable or redeemable in cash except as provided above. No substitutions of prizes except at Spherion’s sole discretion.

The Program will start on or around August 21, 2023 at 12:00 am Eastern Daylight Time and will end on or around September 15, 2023 at 11:59pm (EDT) (“Program Period”) with the Grand Prize winner being announced on or around the week of September 11, 2023. All dates are subject to change or cancellation.

Program winners will be notified by a telephone call, text, and/or email from the Contestant’s employer specifying that the winner must contact a specific official at their local Spherion franchisee branch location to confirm acceptance of the prize.

Notification is to determine if the winner is able and willing to accept the Program’s rules and the prize under the terms and conditions set forth herein. Each winner is required to respond to a specific official at their local participating Spherion franchisee branch location in person, by a telephone call, text, and/or email within three (3) calendar days of the first attempted notification. If the prospective winner fails to contact that Spherion official and respond as required or is otherwise unavailable to receive the notification for whatever reason, such that no response is received by 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time on the third (3rd) calendar day following the first attempted contact by email, telephone call or text to the prospective winner, then any right or interest of the prospective winner in the Program prize or this Program shall be promptly forfeited. No other notification will be required to be made by Spherion to the prospective winner that fails to respond for any reason, and the selected prospective winner shall forfeit their rights and interest. If the prospective winner has forfeited their interest in the prize and this Program, an alternate winner selected through a random drawing will then be declared the “winner” of that specific prize by Spherion, as described above. Once an alternate winner is selected as the prospective winner, then that alternate winner must accept the Program rules and the prize under the terms and conditions set forth herein and must comply with all Program rules as applied to the winners.

Non-compliance with any of the Program rules may result in disqualification. 

Spherion’s decisions are final on all matters relating to this Program. After a winner has been selected for the Grand Prize, the winner agrees to timely execute Spherion’s Prize Acceptance and Liability form, an Affidavit of Eligibility form, W-9 form (for IRS purposes), and any other documents Spherion, in its sole discretion, requires, and then promptly deliver the executed forms to Spherion before the winner takes possession of the Grand Prize.

The winners are responsible for all taxes imposed or incurred in connection with any prize awarded in this Program. 


Upon acceptance of the prize, each winner, his or her heirs, executors, representatives, successors, and assigns, forever releases from any and all liability, loss, harm, damage, cost or expense whatsoever, regardless of how it was incurred, and including without limitation, any and all claims for property damage, personal injury, and/or death which may occur in connection with the winner’s participation in this Program and the acceptance, ownership, possession and/or use of the prize, each of the following: Spherion Staffing, LLC, Spherion franchisees, Randstad USA, the Social Media Platform (as defined below) and each of their parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, owners, officers, directors, shareholders, employees, representatives, suppliers, agents,  associates and advertisers; and any parties, individual or entities involved with this Program, its promotion, and public relations and production agencies associated with this Program (collectively, the “Released Entities”).

Each winner consents to the use of his/her name, voice, performance, entry, and/or likeness for programming, advertising, publicity and promotional purposes in any and all media, now or hereafter known, worldwide and on the Internet, and in perpetuity by Spherion and its designees, without compensation (unless prohibited by law) or additional consents from entrant or any third party and without prior notice, approval or inspection, and without any requirement to execute specific consent to such use.

Each winner agrees that he/she will not conduct or participate in any media interview regarding this Program or any prize without the express prior written permission of Spherion. Spherion is not responsible for any unauthorized human intervention or other causes that corrupt or improperly affect the administration, security, fairness or proper play or conduct of this Program. Spherion will not be responsible for awarding any value in excess of the value listed in these Official rules.

This Program is Void Where Prohibited, Taxed or Restricted by Law. If there exists any laws, bonds, taxes, and/or restrictions that actually apply to any valid Contestant, participant, winner; then the Program is void for such individuals (“Void Individuals”).  Whether or not such information is known or unknown to all the parties before or after this 2023 Spherion Employee Rewards Program. Any such Void Individuals are unable to participate and/or claim the award to become a winner. If the winner is determined to be a Void Individual after the prize has been awarded, Spherion reserves the right to require that the winner return the prize in the same condition as it was awarded and the winner agrees to return the prize in said condition. Spherion conducts numerous giveaways and will not be held responsible for resolving potential or actual claims of Void Individuals.


Released Parties are not responsible for any typographical, printing or other error in connection with this Program, including, without limitation, errors in the printing of these Official Rules or any advertising or promotional materials, the administration of the Program, the processing of entries, the announcement of the prize or in any other Program-related materials. Released Parties are not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, illegible, damaged, inaccurate, stolen, delayed, misdirected, undelivered, inaccurate entries or lost or stolen entry boxes. Entries made in violation of these Official Rules, as solely determined by Spherion, will be void and the corresponding entrant may be disqualified. Should any portion of the  Content be, in Spherion’s sole opinion, compromised for any reason, or should any cause, in the sole opinion of the Spherion, corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play, or submission of entries, Spherion reserves the right at its sole discretion to terminate the Program (or portion thereof) and, if terminated, at its discretion, select the potential winners from all eligible, non-suspect entries received in a random drawing from among all eligible entries received. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE PROGRAM MAY BE IN VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS. If any provision of these Official Rules are found to be invalid by any court having competent jurisdiction, the invalidity of such provision shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of Official Rules, which shall remain in full force and effect. No waiver of any term of these Official rules shall be deemed a further or continuing waiver of such term or any other term.

Winner Identification:

The identification of all Winners will be published on the website by September 30, 2023 and will also be made available by sending a written request (in English only) for that information, together with a separate, stamped (first class mail), and self-addressed envelope (#10) to: WINNER of 2023 Spherion Employee Rewards Program, 3625 Cumberland Blvd SE, Atlanta, GA 30339 to be received after September 30, 2023 and before December 24, 2023.

Social Media Disclaimer and Acknowledgment:

This Program is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Instagram, Facebook, Threads, Twitter, LinkedIn or TikTok (the “Social Media Platforms”).  Each Contestant and winner agrees to a full and complete release of each of the Social Media Platforms in connection with this Program.

Choice of Law/Jurisdiction:

This Program and these Official Rules are governed by the internal substantive laws of the State of Florida, without respect to its conflict of laws principles. Jurisdiction for any claims relating to this Content or these Official Rules shall lie exclusively with the state or federal courts within Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
