The Spherion franchise community recently gathered in person for the first time in nearly two years for our annual national meeting in Las Vegas. Even with regular virtual meetings across our nationwide network of offices, there’s nothing quite as effective as getting together to build relationships and learn better business practices. Spherion’s annual national meetings give our corporate team, franchise owners and colleagues the chance to connect, exchange ideas, learn from one another and recharge to handle the ever-changing shifts in the U.S labor market. We also take the opportunity to recognize each other’s successes from the previous year–and to celebrate our contributions to the communities we serve.

The national meeting is one of the many ways we support our franchise owners and their staff. The connections made, ideas exchanged and burst of energy our franchisees receive from it powers their performance throughout the rest of the year.

Establish Meaningful Connections

Coming together every year allows our franchisees the opportunity to build friendships and expand their personal support network. Meeting for a couple days of dedicated networking creates a peer sounding board for questions about the challenges of franchise ownership. Franchising can feel overwhelming and even isolating at times, and the opportunity to connect with other franchisees and their teams helps to create a strong, supportive community.

Education For Everyone

The national meeting offers franchisees more than a dozen educational sessions covering topics including the state of the staffing market, company growth and integrating technology into operations. A half-day franchisee symposium exclusive to franchise owners gives them a chance to learn more about the company’s direction for the coming year, ask questions and check in about their business with their peers and our Franchisee Advisory Board. Lastly, motivational speakers such as Vernice “FlyGirl” Armour, our 2021 speaker, encourage attendees to push the envelope and make gutsy moves in their business as they work towards their goals.

Recognition For Accomplishments

We also celebrate the unique company contributions and special achievements that franchisees have made in the last calendar year. This year, Spherion awarded 32 franchisees with 19 awards, including our highest honor, Owner of the Year, to Tammy Feaster and Gary Hayes, who previously won the award in 2019. We believe it is important to recognize our colleagues and reward them for all of their hard work and investment into Spherion in front of a peer audience. We also believe that encouragement is vital to giving our franchisees the support they need to grow with our brand. The Spherion franchise award program is a central part of that process.

And Most of All, Fun!

What would a national gathering of colleagues and friends be without some fun? As the first national in-person meeting since 2020, our community enjoyed a Vegas-style pool party complete with music, a magician, Vegas performers, photo ops and delicious food and drink. Because this year’s meeting occurred during the NCAA March Madness basketball tournament, our community cheered on their teams during our Spherion Spirit Night. We closed out the meeting with Spherion’s Glitz and Glam Gala, a tradition during which Spherion’s leadership reveals the year’s awards, followed by dinner and dancing.

The Spherion 2022 National Meeting was a resounding success. It was a fantastic experience to connect, celebrate and learn in Vegas this year, but the support doesn’t end after the meeting is over. Our Franchisee Meeting takes place every fall to help support our franchise community year-round. If you’re looking for a franchise organization where owner success is not only talked about but actively supported, check out Spherion.
