Financial Operations: Oversee daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), general ledger, payroll, and cash flow management.Month-End Close: Lead and optimize the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements.Reconciliations & Reporting: Review and approve journal entries, bank reconciliations, and balance sheet accounts. Prepare monthly financial reporting packages for management.Controls & Compliance: Establish, monitor, and enforce internal accounting controls, policies, and procedures to mitigate risk and protect company assets.Audit & Tax Support: Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors and tax professionals, managing the preparation of required schedules and documentation.Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of accounting staff (e.g., staff accountants, AP/AR clerks).Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in current workflows and implement modern software integrations or process updates to streamline accounting operations.

Certifications: CPA or CMA designation is highly preferred (but not required).
Education: Bachelor?s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Experience: 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 1?2 years in a supervisory or management role.Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, data analysis) and experience with mid-to-enterprise level ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks Enterprise, Sage, or Microsoft Dynamics).Knowledge Base: Deep understanding of US GAAP, financial statement preparation, and internal control frameworks.Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, exceptional communication skills, and the capability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
