In this vital leadership role, you will guide the entire accounts payable function. You will ensure that invoices and payments move smoothly and accurately, while finding creative ways to make our workflows more efficient. By partnering closely with our Procurement and Finance teams, you will help build a scalable foundation that supports our exciting organizational growth.
Responsibilities:
Guide, coach, and support the daily operations of the accounts payable department.
Oversee a mix of local team members, temporary staff, and offshore or outsourced resources.
Cultivate a workplace culture focused on accountability, high productivity, and customer service excellence.
Oversee the accurate, high-volume processing of invoices, expense reports, and vendor payments.
Manage all month-end closing activities, including financial accruals and account reconciliations.
Monitor key performance indicators such as processing cycle times, payment accuracy, and early payment discounts.
Identify and implement continuous improvements to standardize workflows and optimize operations.
Partner with Information Technology teams to upgrade Enterprise Resource Planning systems and implement automation tools like OCR, automated invoicing, and cloud-based software.
Establish scalable financial processes that can smoothly adapt to company expansion and future acquisitions.
Ensure strict compliance with internal policies, SOX requirements, tax reporting guidelines, and financial controls.
Coordinate documentation and resolve any issues for internal and external financial audits.
Build strong relationships with vendors to resolve complex payment disputes and optimize purchasing terms.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
Experience working within a large, complex organization.
Specific experience utilizing Oracle R12 software.
Familiarity with automation tools, such as automated invoice scanning or cloud-based platforms.
Advanced professional credentials, such as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or a graduate degree.

4-7 years
Qualifications:
Five or more years of progressive experience in accounts payable or finance operations, with at least three years of experience leading a team in a centralized or shared services environment.
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
Experience navigating Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and a solid understanding of the full purchase-to-pay cycle.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and a comfort level analyzing financial data to find trends or areas for improvement.
