will manage accurate employee data entry and maintenance using the Colleague system, while also serving as a welcoming and professional front-desk liaison. This position requires strong organizational skills, a welcoming attitude, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while providing exceptional service to staff, students, and the public.
Responsibilities:
Manage temporary employment actions: Process documentation for new hires, including background checks, I-9 verifications, and associated new hire paperwork.
Maintain accurate records: Enter and update employee data within the Colleague system and ensure the integrity of HR records.
Perform front desk and reception duties: Serve as the primary contact for incoming calls, manage mail distribution, route HR documents, and complete employment verifications.
Provide excellent customer service: Offer friendly, knowledgeable assistance to employees, students, and the public via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
Data management and reporting: Review HR data for accuracy, scan and file documents in the Etrieve system, and generate reports as needed.
Process improvement: Support departmental initiatives for efficiency and perform other duties as assigned.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
Previous administrative or HR support experience is a plus

Qualifications:
Education and Experience: A high school diploma (related clerical experience may substitute). Previous administrative or HR support experience is a plus.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with Ellucian Colleague is beneficial.
Core Competencies: Exceptional attention to detail, strong data accuracy, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting.
Interpersonal Skills: Professionalism, a strong customer service orientation, a friendly and welcoming attitude, and the ability to build positive relationships with staff and the public.
Physical Requirements: Able to lift up to 10 lbs.
