As a Technician in Aluminum, you will report directly to the Team Leader in Aluminum and be responsible for the production efficiency of your assigned lines.
Shift: 3rd
Responsibilities:
- Perform quality checks and assist with sort activities.
- Sub-assemble components using hand tools and air-guns.
- Operate production line equipment while maintaining all quality guidelines and quotas.
- Set parts in jigs and utilize robotic assistance to affix components.
- Conduct quality checks during and after assembly to verify part quality.
- Follow all directions outlined in Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Move products between process areas using hand carts and dollies.
- Train other associates on learned processes.
- Reset alarms and make minor CNC program adjustments.
- Perform periodic inventory counts.
- Sort finished goods to ensure only quality parts are received by the final customer.
- Interact professionally with co-workers and outside vendors.
- Maintain a clean and organized working environment.
- Continuously seek to improve processes and contribute to lean initiatives.
- Promote a safe working environment at all times.
- Communicate effectively with other Associates and Shift Team Leaders regarding quality or production issues.
- Supervise Associates and Temporaries in the Team Leader???s absence.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support production goals.
Working hours: 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM
Skills:
- Understanding of basic quality tools.
- Ability to arrive to work consistently and on-time.
- Ability to read and understand written directions and instructions.
- Excellent listening skills and the ability to follow verbal instructions precisely.
- Strong ability to work effectively within a team environment.
Education:
High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
Education: A high school diploma or equivalency is required.
Experience: Minimal experience on assembly lines is needed.
This position requires the ability to bend, twist, reach, and perform repetitive arm movements. You must be able to lift up to 25 pounds, stand on concrete for extended periods of time, work mandatory overtime as needed, and withstand temperatures of up to 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
