Responsibilities:
Design & Engineering: Utilize SolidWorks to design proprietary products, welding jigs, fixtures, and complex assemblies. Perform reverse engineering and design new components based on customer needs.
Production Programming: Use Trumpf, HMT, or Bystronic software to create offline programs for flat lasers, tube lasers, and tube benders.
Print Creation: Generate highly accurate prints and technical drawings to ensure the production team has the clear information needed for manufacturing.
Collaboration: Work directly with customers to meet design requirements and maintain positive relationships with both clients and suppliers.
Shop Support: Communicate with management, production control, and quality teams to resolve issues and ensure project flow.
Maintenance: Keep equipment and work areas clean and orderly; assist with other duties as assigned by management.
Skills:
Offline Programming: Prior experience with flat laser, tube laser, and tube bending software (Trumpf, HMT, or Bystronic).
Manufacturing Background: Experience designing welding jigs and fixtures used specifically in a manufacturing process.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience using SolidWorks.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of print creation and the use of precision measuring instruments.
Soft Skills: Exceptional organizational and communication skills with a proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Adaptability: Ability to handle a changing work environment, competing demands, and unexpected events.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and lift up to 50 lbs.
