About the Role
The CNC Machine Shop Supervisor oversees and supports machinists and operators, ensuring smooth operations, quality compliance, and timely delivery. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, handle scheduling, training, and equipment maintenance, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Lead day-to-day machine shop operations, assigning tasks and scheduling personnel
- Drive productivity, accountability, and performance through training and leadership
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols, regulatory compliance, and quality standards (GMP, ISO 13485, FDA)
- Operate and set up CNC mills and lathes to produce precision medical components
- Set up tooling, fixtures, and optimize machining parameters
- Conduct part inspections using precision instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges)
- Perform secondary operations such as deburring, ultrasonic cleaning, and sandblasting
- Manage equipment maintenance schedules and inventory of tooling and supplies
- Contribute to process improvements and lean manufacturing initiatives
Working hours: 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on CNC machining experience
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Ability to read and interpret 2D drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications
- Proficiency with precision measuring tools and inspection techniques
- Working knowledge of G-code and CNC programming
- Experience with medical-grade materials (stainless steel, titanium, PEEK)
- Knowledge of ISO 13485 and FDA regulations
- Exposure to lean manufacturing and/or Six Sigma principles
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to quality
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with machinery and tools
