Responsibilities:
Setup & Operation: Expertly set up, operate, and perform trial runs on all CNC and Manual Mills and Lathes, including large milling centers.
Programming & Editing: Edit programs and calculate/set controls for machining factors (speed, feed, coolant flow, depth/angle of cut) or enter commands for machine control media.
Interpretation: Study and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, and specifications to determine dimensions, tolerances, and operational sequences.
Tooling: Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, and materials on various machines.
Quality Control: Start and observe machine operations, detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and verify conformance of the finished workpiece to specifications using precision measuring tools (calipers, bore gages, micrometers, etc.).
Collaboration: Confer with engineers, production personnel, and programmers to resolve complex machining problems.
Maintenance & Cleanliness: Perform routine machine maintenance and ensure a clean, organized work area throughout the shift.
Versatility: Perform production work as required and assigned (e.g., Manual turning & milling).
Working hours: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Skills:
Minimum of a 2-year Technical Diploma or Associate's Degree in a related field.
Education:
High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience in setting up and operating large milling centers.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and performing precise part inspection.
Strong knowledge of G & M codes and exceptional shop math skills.
Proven ability to perform close tolerance work.
Possess a proactive, positive attitude, a strong sense of self-motivation, accountability, and responsibility.
