Shift: 2nd Shift | Monday - Friday | 4:00 PM - 12:30 AM
Responsibilities:
- Machine Operation: Set up and operate a high-speed, 3-axis CNC router to run pre-determined files using correct tooling and jigs.
- Controls & Tooling: Enter tool offsets into Fanuc controls; select, monitor, and maintain sharp cutting tools.
- Quality Control: Perform part inspections, document results, and work closely with CNC programmers to eliminate defects and minimize machine downtime.
- Material Handling: Position and secure workpieces on the machine bed, indexing table, or fixtures. Drive a forklift to stage required materials near the CNC worktable.
- Safety & Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized work area and strictly adhere to all prescribed safety procedures and machinery safeguards.
Skills & Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Technical certificate or degree in machining/manufacturing is preferred.
- Previous machine shop experience is highly preferred.
- Mindset: A positive attitude, strong focus, and excellent communication skills with peers and supervisors.
- Technical Skills: Ability to manage tool operations, material storage, inventory control, and required quality documentation.
- Physical Requirements: Comfort performing physical tasks including bending, twisting, squatting, kneeling, climbing, lifting, and other repetitive movements associated with loading/unloading material.
- License: Ability to safely operate a forklift (certification preferred, or willingness to train)
