Responsibilities:
As our CNC Machinist/Programmer, you'll be the master behind our machines, bringing blueprints to life with unparalleled accuracy. Your responsibilities will include:
Operating and Programming: Expertly set up, operate, and program a variety of CNC machines, including our Haas ED1600, Doosan HC 400II, and Bridgeport drill press.
- Fanuc Mastery: Proficiently program using Fanuc controls for both intricate milling and turning operations.
- CAD/CAM Wizardry: Interpret technical drawings and specifications, then develop and optimize CNC programs using AutoCAD and MasterCAM to ensure maximum efficiency and flawless execution.
- Precision & Quality: Select the ideal cutting tools, speeds, and feeds. Perform meticulous measurements and inspections using micrometers, calipers, and other instruments to guarantee parts meet the highest quality standards.
- Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Monitor machine performance, skillfully troubleshoot issues, make necessary adjustments, and conduct routine machine maintenance to keep operations running smoothly. (Experience with machine repair is a big plus!)
- Collaboration: Work seamlessly with engineering and other team members, contributing your insights to continuously improve machining processes.
- Safety & Organization: Maintain a pristine and safe workspace, always adhering to regulations.
Skills:
Software Savvy: Proficiency with CAD (AutoCAD preferred) and CAM software (MasterCAM preferred) for program creation and optimization.
Qualifications:
- Proven Experience: A solid background as a CNC Machinist and Programmer is essential.
- Fanuc Fluency: Exceptional working knowledge of Fanuc controls.
- Milling & Turning Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise in both CNC turning and milling.
- Blueprint Whisperer: Ability to accurately read and interpret complex technical drawings and GD&T.
- Machining Acumen: A firm grasp of machining principles, tool selection, and material properties.
- Precision Tools: Experience with various precision measuring instruments and quality control procedures.
- Problem-Solving Prowess: Excellent problem-solving skills, keen attention to detail, and a mechanical aptitude for basic machine maintenance.
- Team Player: Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
