- CDL Class A Semi Driver (Day Shift): $24.00 - $29.00/hr | Operates semi-trucks to transport trailers, equipment, and waste materials between customer sites and transfer facilities.
- CDL Class B Route Driver (Day Shift): $24.00 - $29.00/hr | Operates commercial route trucks to collect local commercial waste and recyclables.
- CDL Class A Night Swing Driver (Night Shift): $25.00 - $29.00/hr | Dynamic role completing both Semi and Roll-Off container routes on an as-needed basis.
Responsibilities:
- Vehicle Safety & Operations: Perform mandatory DOT pre-trip and post-trip inspections, document results, and perform basic preventative truck care.
- Transport & Hauling: Safely load, secure, navigate, and unload commercial trailers, roll-off containers, or compactors along designated local routes.
- Navigation & Dispatch: Follow assigned schedules using electronic tablet instructions, adapting safely to traffic, weather, and dispatch updates.
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate driver logs, scale tickets, and work orders in full compliance with DOT, OSHA, and company safety standards.
- Customer & Team Service: Provide courteous, professional communication with customers, dispatch, and supervisors, reporting any delays or equipment hazards promptly.
Skills:
- Experience: 3+ years of commercial driving experience preferred.
- Industry Knowledge: Prior experience operating Roll-Off containers, Semi-trailers, or commercial waste hauling equipment.
- Endorsements: Manual transmission endorsement preferred.
- Leadership: Experience training, mentoring, or guiding new commercial drivers.
Qualifications:
- Licensing: Valid Class A CDL (with Air Brakes endorsement) or Class B CDL.
- Medical: Valid DOT Medical Card.
- Maneuvering Ability: Strong backing, maneuvering, and spatial awareness skills when operating in congested, tight city, or suburban spaces.
- Physical Capability: Ability to lift 50-75 lbs regularly, bend, push, pull, and repeatedly mount/dismount heavy trucks throughout the shift.
- Communication & Admin: Ability to speak and read English to understand traffic signals, respond to official questions, and complete clear paperwork/tablet entry.
