The Controller will oversee the full accounting cycle, ensure GAAP compliance, and manage the integration of financial data with manufacturing processes, including absorption planning and inventory integrity.
Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting: Lead the monthly close process and prepare financial statements with high-level analysis (MD&A).
Cost & Inventory: Manage absorption accounting, overhead allocation, and Work-in-Process (WIP) valuation.
Operational Insights: Identify production variances and partner with the shop floor to improve profit margins.
Audits & Controls: Ensure GAAP compliance and lead the preparation for annual external audits.
Cash Management: Oversee cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, and lines of credit.
Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor the accounting staff to ensure accuracy and professional growth.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
Leadership: Minimum of 3-5 years in a supervisory or management role.
Education:
Bachelors
Experience:
4-7 years
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor???s degree in Finance or Accounting (MBA or CPA preferred).
Experience: 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a Manufacturing environment.
Technical Skills: * Mastery of Absorption Accounting and WIP management.
Advanced expertise in Excel (Power Query, Pivot Tables, Modeling).
Proven experience with ERP implementations or optimizations.
Communication: Ability to translate complex financial data into "plain English" for non-financial operations managers.
