Responsibilities:

• Food Preparation: Prepare high-quality food items; prep ingredients (chopping vegetables, cutting meat, etc.).
• Quality Control: Ensure food meets outlined standards for correct portioning, temperature, taste, and visual appeal. Taste all prepared food items.
• Cleanliness & Storage: Maintain high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen, properly store/discard excess food according to safe handling procedures, and keep storage areas neat.
• Equipment Operation: Safely operate and maintain kitchen equipment; report any maintenance needs immediately.
• Support: Assist with production planning, record keeping, ordering/receiving food and supplies, and maintaining good working relationships with the team.
• Safety: Perform all job duties safely while maintaining a clean, sanitized work environment.

Qualifications:

• HS Diploma or GED
• Previous cooking experience
• General culinary knowledge of basic kitchen practices, protocols, and procedures.
• Ability to accurately perform basic culinary math, including recipe conversion calculations.
• Must be able to work safely with heat/high temperatures and stand for up to 8 hours at a time.
• Ability to safely work with large-volume culinary equipment (slicers, large mixers, ovens, etc.) and possess safe knife handling skills.
