Spherion Staffing is currently seeking an enthusiastic, organized, and customer-focused B2B Customer Service Representative to join a premier, growing manufacturing client in Owatonna, MN.

This is not a traditional call-center position. In this role, you will work directly with business accounts, utilize Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, and collaborate closely with internal teams-including sales, production, purchasing, and shipping-to ensure orders flow smoothly and client expectations are met.

Responsibilities:

• Customer Account Support & Communication
• Build and maintain positive, professional relationships with business-to-business clients.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for customer questions, order updates, and service needs.
• Proactively communicate timelines, order statuses, and delivery updates.
• Resolve customer concerns with professionalism, urgency, and thorough follow-through.
• Occasionally visit regional customer facilities using a company-provided vehicle as needed.
• ERP Systems & Data Management
• Navigate internal ERP business management software to research customer orders, purchase orders, inventory, and production status.
• Perform accurate data entry, including customer details, order updates, and business records.
• Review sales orders and related documentation to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain clean, organized, and up-to-date account records.
• Internal Coordination & Problem Solving
• Coordinate with internal departments (sales, production, purchasing, shipping) to ensure smooth order fulfillment.
• Identify potential supply or timeline bottlenecks early and communicate proactively.
• Take ownership of account inquiries, working independently to find answers and resolve issues promptly.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Skills:

• Prior experience with ERP systems (such as SAP, QuickBooks, NetSuite, Epicor, or similar business management platforms).
• Proficiency in Excel (creating spreadsheets, sorting data, basic formulas) and Microsoft Outlook for high-volume email communication.

High School

Experience:
1-4 years

Qualifications:

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong computer proficiency and ability to learn new software quickly. Previous experience with business management software, order management tools, or ERP systems is highly preferred.
• Exceptional data entry accuracy and organizational skills.
• Experience in B2B customer service, account coordination, order processing, or office administration preferred. (Manufacturing ERP experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate with strong computer and communication skills).
