A local medical equipment company is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Customer Service Representative to assist with patient billing, collections, and account follow-up.

- Collaborate with referral sources, physicians' offices, and patients to initiate and process orders.
- Coordinate with billing personnel to ensure timely documentation for reimbursement and collections.
- Handle billing and collections for patient accounts, including private pay and insurance-based billing.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of all billing activity and patient communication.
- Ensure paperwork flows efficiently from order intake through insurance verification, setup, delivery, and billing.
- Contact customers within 24???48 hours of order receipt and follow up consistently until delivery and payment resolution.
- Understand and execute tasks related to:
- Patient demographics
- Emergency contacts
- Insurance verification
- Physician and diagnosis data
- Billing and reimbursement info
- Provide estimates of financial responsibility and assist in arranging payment plans when necessary.
- Understand billing instructions and payer-specific requirements before delivery of equipment.
- Coordinate with the Branch Manager and Warehouse staff to meet special equipment needs.
- Assist with private pay arrangements and out-of-pocket billing.
- Work with the New Business Coordinator to implement and improve collections and billing workflows.
Lead / Administrative Duties:
- Correct and return CSR WIPs
- Manage the Monthly Outstanding Sales Orders report
- Enter credit card payments into Strategic AR
- Back up the In-Coming Fax Specialist
- Lead DME meetings and quarterly evaluations
- Oversee staff training and billing/collections materials
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
- One year of office or clerical experience preferred
- Prior exposure to Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance billing is helpful
- Collections experience strongly preferred
- Excellent customer service and communication skills

High School

1-4 years
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Knowledge of insurance billing and collections highly preferred
