As a Denial Specialist, you will be responsible for generating, processing, and maintaining provider and member correspondence for preservice and concurrent medical reviews. You'll handle documentation from EMR systems, fax denial letters, and ensure timely, compliant communications based on regulatory standards.
Pay Rate: $23.00/hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM CST
One weekend/month: 10 AM - 7 PM CST
Responsibilities:
Process denial-related correspondence from EMR documentation
Maintain and update correspondence templates
Review faxes and manage related workflows
Ensure regulatory compliance and timely notification turnaround (TAT)
Support data collection and reporting for denial processing
Collaborate with team via Microsoft Teams and internal systems
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
Knowledge of denials process and familiarity with HCPCS/CPT coding preferred
Experience in a healthcare or insurance environment
Previous EMR system experience

High school diploma or GED

Excellent Customer Service and Computer Skills (MS Office/Teams)

The team environment in this role is fast-paced, collaborative, and focused on accuracy and compliance. Typical volume is 25???35 tasks per day.
