Perform routine maintenance on diesel engines and heavy-duty equipment, including oil changes, lubrication, and filter replacements.Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using a combination of diagnostic software, manual tools, and a keen eye for detail.Repair and replace defective parts, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical components.Conduct thorough inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure all vehicles and equipment meet safety and performance standards.Troubleshoot and repair complex engine problems, including fuel injection systems, cooling systems, and turbochargers.Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment.Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding job progress and any potential issues.Keep up-to-date with industry advancements and new technologies in diesel mechanics.

Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or a similar role.High school diploma or GED equivalent; completion of a diesel mechanic or heavy-duty equipment repair program is a plus.ASE certification in Diesel Engines or other related areas is highly desirable.Knowledge of diesel engine systems, including diagnostics, electrical, and hydraulic systems.Proficiency in using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Communication and teamwork abilities.Valid driver's license; CDL is a plus.Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions and environments.**MUST HAVE AT LEAST 5 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE WORKING IN A SHOP
