The Vice President of Finance & Accounting will report to the CFO and oversee two Controllers across a sizable business with multiple operating entities and locations. This person will be expected to bring immediate credibility, strong accounting discipline, executive communication, and the ability to connect financial data to operational decision making.
The right candidate will have already operated in a multi site environment and understand the structure, accountability, reporting cadence, and financial visibility required to support a business of this size and complexity.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead finance and accounting operations across a multi entity, multi location business environment.
• Report to and partner closely with the CFO, ownership, and senior leadership to support business planning, profitability, growth, and long term decision making.
• Oversee, support, and develop two Controllers while strengthening accountability, consistency, accuracy, and performance across the finance function.
• Provide leadership over accounting operations including general ledger, AP, AR, month end close, reconciliations, financial reporting, cash flow, and internal controls.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, KPI tracking, financial analysis, and executive level reporting.
• Evaluate current processes, systems, reporting structures, and controls to identify opportunities for improvement, automation, efficiency, and stronger financial visibility.
• Ensure financial practices are accurate, compliant, consistent, and scalable across the organization.
• Partner cross functionally with operational leaders to provide meaningful financial insight tied to performance, margin, cost control, inventory, growth, and business priorities.
• Strengthen financial infrastructure, reporting cadence, internal controls, and leadership visibility as the organization continues to grow.
• Serve as a trusted senior finance partner who can balance strategic leadership with practical follow through.
What We're Looking For
• Progressive finance and accounting leadership experience, ideally at the VP, Senior Director, Divisional Controller, Corporate Controller, or equivalent level.
• Proven experience supporting a multi site, multi entity, multi company, retail, distribution, service, manufacturing, or operationally complex business environment.
• Prior experience supporting an organization with approximately $80M to $100M or more in revenue.
• Experience leading Controller level talent or senior accounting leaders.
• Strong command of accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, internal controls, and executive level financial analysis.
• ERP experience required.
• NetSuite experience is a plus.
• CPA certification is a plus, but not required.
• Strong executive communication skills with the ability to translate financial data into meaningful business guidance.
• Proven ability to bring structure, accountability, financial discipline, and scalable processes to a growing organization.
• Ability to operate with polish, confidence, urgency, and sound judgment in a fast moving entrepreneurial environment.
