Responsibilities:
As the Engineering Manager, you will lead the technical heart of our manufacturing operations:
Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of controls, manufacturing, and process engineers to support a world-class production environment.
Strategic Scaling: Oversee the design and commissioning of new production lines as we expand our manufacturing capacity into new regions.
Operational Excellence: Drive continuous improvement initiatives (OEE, uptime, and reliability) for our proprietary high-performance board production systems.
Cross-Functional Integration: Partner with Maintenance, Operations, and Data teams to ensure seamless integration between shop-floor automation (Siemens) and enterprise systems (MES/SQL).
Project Governance: Manage capital budgets and project timelines, ensuring that large-scale engineering transformations are delivered on schedule and within scope.
Innovation & R&D: Work closely with leadership to refine our patented manufacturing processes, ensuring our products remain the highest-performing sustainable materials on the market.
Compliance & Safety: Champion a culture of safety and ensure all engineering activities comply with industry regulations and environmental certifications.

Skills:
Automation Expertise: Hands-on experience with Siemens TIA Portal or similar industrial control frameworks.
Industry Knowledge: Experience in wood product manufacturing, fiber processing, or sustainable building materials.
System Integration: Familiarity with Plex MES or other manufacturing execution systems and SQL-based data analytics.
Advanced Degrees: MBA or Master's in Engineering Management.

Education: Bachelor?s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Controls) or a related technical field.
Leadership Experience: 8+ years of engineering experience with at least 3+ years in a direct management or leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
Technical Background: Deep understanding of industrial automation, high-volume manufacturing processes, and capital equipment deployment.
Resilience: Proven ability to lead teams through the "startup phase" of rapid growth, ambiguity, and technical challenges.
Project Management: Advanced skills in managing multi-million dollar CAPEX projects from concept to final commissioning.
