Responsibilities:
Working with a crew of 3-4 workers on various aspects of environmental restoration and maintenance including but not limited to:
- Application of restricted-use herbicides on various species of Category I and II invasive plant species
- Operation of handheld gas-powered equipment used for vegetation removal (chainsaws, trimmers, etc.)
- Planting/installation of native plants and trees in different environments
- Track progress by keeping detailed notes, understanding and marking maps, and keeping track of crew hours, chemical usage, equipment usage, etc.
- Drive and maintain vehicles and equipment
- Train crew workers with a strong emphasis on safety and ensuring efficiency
Working hours: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Qualifications and Skills
- Education requirement: Completion of high school with a diploma (minimum)
- Driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to handle the physical demands of our work: difficult (hot) weather conditions, lifting (up to 75 pounds), and extensive walking and traversing through dense vegetation.
- Familiarity with and willingness to learn the common native and non-native invasive plants of Florida
- Ability to navigate to, and around, site locations using hand-held GPS equipment and paper maps
- Strong leadership
- Use creativity to solve or overcome problems
- Is a clear communicator
- Is a high energy and enthusiastic motivator and worker
- MUST be Bilingual - Spanish
