Spherion is seeking a dependable Machine Operator / Manufacturing Production Operator to join a fast-paced manufacturing team. The selected candidate will assist with machine setup, operation, quality inspections, and maintaining efficient production flow. Training will be provided to help the right candidate learn specialized equipment and processes.
Responsibilities:
Perform machine setup, startup, and shutdown procedures for extrusion equipment
Operate production machinery while following safety and quality guidelines
Monitor production lines to ensure smooth workflow and product quality
Perform quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, and tape measures
Assist with assembly, packaging, and material handling activities
Troubleshoot basic equipment issues with training and guidance
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Follow production schedules and meet team goals
Working hours: Various Shifts Available
Skills:
Experience in plastics manufacturing, extrusion, or production environments
Background in assembly, light mechanical work, or warehouse operations
Food service experience due to experience with safety procedures and fast-paced workflows
Experience using precision measurement tools
Interest in developing a long-term career in manufacturing
Education:
High School

1-4 years
Qualifications:
Previous machine operating or manufacturing experience required
Ability to learn and operate production equipment
Comfortable using basic measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures
Ability to follow work instructions and safety procedures
Good attention to detail and ability to perform quality checks
Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks as needed
