Spherion Staffing is looking for a skilled, confident and experienced Forklift Operator for a growing local client that specializes in custom packaging and shipping solutions. This isn't just moving stacks of wood, you'll be handling high-quality custom crates, specialized shipping containers, and raw lumber.

Responsibilities:
- Heavy-Load Handling: Safely and efficiently operate forklifts to load, unload and move shipping crates, large shipping containers, and standard pallets.
- Precision Maneuvering: Navigate tight spaces, narrow aisles, and high-traffic areas with high confidence and absolute control.
- Staging & Storage: Stack and store materials in designated inventory areas, ensuring optimal space utilization and load stability.
- Pre-Operational Inspections: Perform daily equipment checks (e.g., checking fluids, brakes, hydraulics, and tires) to ensure forklift safety and operational readiness.
- Inventory Accuracy: Verify product labels, SKU numbers, and shipping manifests to ensure the correct materials are moved and tracked.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and hand-signal protocols to maintain an accident-free work environment.
Working hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Skills:
- Certification: Valid forklift operator certification is highly preferred.

Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
- Proven Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years of experience operating industrial forklifts.
- Spatial Awareness: Exceptional maneuvering skills with a proven track record of operating safely in tight or cramped environments.
- High Confidence & Skill: Must be a self-assured operator capable of handling high-value, heavy freight without constant supervision.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted, and work in various warehouse temperature conditions.
