Spherion Staffing is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Saw Operator to join a premier custom shipping and packaging solutions company in Owatonna. In this role, you will play a critical part in their production process by operating an industrial lumber saw designed to split boards down into custom-specified dimensions (cutting 1 board into 2).

Responsibilities:
- Saw Operation: Safely and efficiently operate an industrial lumber saw to cut a single lumber board into two boards according to required product specifications.
- Measurement Verification: Read and utilize a standard tape measure precisely to ensure accurate raw material sizing.
- Basic Mathematics: Perform basic math calculations daily (specifically multiplication and division) to determine cuts, verify dimensions, and minimize material waste.
- Material Handling: Load raw lumber onto the saw bed, manage proper feeding speeds, and neatly stack processed boards onto pallets for the assembly team.
- Quality Control: Visually inspect finished lumber pieces for defects, splits, or incorrect dimensions to maintain premium packaging standards.
- Workplace Safety: Maintain a clean, organized work area and strictly adhere to all warehouse safety rules, including wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for the duration of an 8-hour shift and lift, push, or pull heavy pieces of lumber consistently.
- Dependability: Strong work ethic, punctual attendance, and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
