Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include assisting the HR Department with daily functions, compliance reporting, and benefits administration. Specific duties involve administering FMLA, leaves of absence, and employee accommodations, as well as guiding employees through benefits enrollment and wellness initiatives. Recruiting tasks include posting job openings, conducting introductory candidate interviews, and facilitating orientation programs for new hires and drivers. Compliance duties require handling EEO-1 data, tracking I-9 verification, processing state separation notices, and conducting monthly driver reviews. Administrative support involves maintaining personnel records, providing backup switchboard coverage, and assisting the HR Director with record requests and employment verifications.
Skills:
Experience utilizing HRIS platforms, applicant tracking systems, and electronic document management systems is preferred. Knowledge of AS/400 systems is considered a plus but is not required.
Qualifications:
An Associate's degree in HR, Business Administration, Management, or equivalent work experience is required. One to two years of Human Resources experience, preferably in a Generalist role, is necessary. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, a typing speed of at least 35 words per minute, and fluency in English are required. The position demands solid presentation skills, strong communication abilities, strict confidentiality, and the capacity to adapt to changing priorities and frequent interruptions.
