Job Type: Full-Time, Temporary (Expected through January 2027)
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Pay Rate: $18.00 / hour
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary contact by answering high-volume incoming phone calls, emails, and text messages from applicants, property managers, and utility providers.
- Collect, review, and verify physical and digital documents (leases, income verification, utility bills) to determine program eligibility.
- Input participant records, track file statuses, and accurately update program databases in compliance with reporting standards.
- Process incoming applications and maintain thorough, audit-ready compliance files across housing retention, voucher subsidy, and energy relief initiatives.
- De-escalate customer concerns with empathy while providing clear guidance on application requirements and approval timelines.
Skills:
- Prior experience working in human services, housing programs, or non-profit administrative support.
- Familiarity with local community resources, housing assistance programs, or utility assistance frameworks.
- Bilingual capabilities (verbal and written) are a strong plus.
Qualifications:
- 1-2+ years of administrative, data entry, client intake, or customer service experience.
- Excellent verbal, phone etiquette, and written communication skills (email and text messaging).
- Strong computer literacy, including proficiency with databases, spreadsheets, and data entry software.
- High attention to detail with paperwork, document verification, and sensitive personal data.
- Ability to commit to a full-time temporary assignment lasting through January 2027.
