As the Lead Maintenance Technician located in Elkhart, IN , you will be a hands-on leader responsible for maintaining the site's production and facility equipment and leading the maintenance team. Responsibilities:
Lead and Coach the maintenance team, coordinating daily activities, assigning tasks based on production needs and individual capabilities, and mentoring team members.
Troubleshoot and Repair electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic production or facility equipment.
PLC Management: Monitor, control, edit, and program Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).
Safety Champion: Proactively identify safety hazards, conduct routine safety audits, and train staff on proper maintenance-related safety protocols to champion a safety-first culture.
Preventative Maintenance: Develop and maintain the site's preventative maintenance program to minimize production downtime.
Inventory & Purchasing: Monitor and maintain maintenance inventory and submit timely purchase order requisitions for necessary parts and supplies.
Documentation & Improvement: Maintain accurate maintenance tracking using the maintenance management system and partner with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for waste reduction and process improvements.
Mold Support: Perform basic mold maintenance and support the production team with tool changes.
Working hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Skills:
Related technical certifications or degree(s), with a strong preference for PLC certifications.
Experience with advanced editing or programming PLC, specifically Allen Bradley controls.
1+ year of leadership experience.
Experience leading large maintenance projects, including project management skills.

Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
3+ years of experience in a general maintenance function.
Must live or relocate to within a 30-minute drive of the plant location in Elkhart, IN.
Working and practical knowledge of PLC controls, including basic editing and programming.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, ladder logic, and electrical schematics.
Ability to complete the internal certification process for lock-out-tag-out (LOTO) and to operate industrial vehicles (forklifts, scissor lifts).
Verbal and written fluency in English.
Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs.
