Leadership and Supervision: Supervise millwright teams, providing guidance and feedback. Plan and assign daily tasks based on priorities. Ensure work adheres to safety, company policies, and best practices. Foster a positive team environment. Conduct safety meetings and monitor team performance. Address personnel issues.Technical Expertise: Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of paper mill machinery (pumps, turbines, conveyors, etc.), hydraulic and pneumatic systems.Interpret blueprints and technical manuals. Perform precision mechanical installations, alignments, and repairs. Troubleshoot issues and implement solutions. Utilize precision measuring tools. Conduct preventative and predictive maintenance. Apply welding, fabrication, and rigging knowledge.Planning and Coordination: Collaborate on maintenance schedules, shutdowns, and installations. Develop work plans and JHAs. Requisition necessary parts and tools. Monitor job progress and ensure timely, on-budget completion.Administrative Tasks: Maintain accurate work records, including work orders and time sheets. Prepare progress and equipment status reports. Participate in meetings and provide updates.Education, Certifications, and Experience:High school diploma/GED required; vocational training preferred.Minimum 2 years as a Journeyman Millwright in a manufacturing/industrial setting (paper mill preferred).Supervisory/lead role experience with proven leadership skills.Valid driver's license.Forklift certification.
1-4 years
Preferred: Journeyman Millwright certification, CMMS experience, welding/fabrication certifications.
