Responsibilities:
Your primary mission is to oversee the scheduling and dispatching of delivery operations during the second shift. You will use technology and clear communication to keep the fleet running like clockwork.
Driver Support: Communicate with truck drivers via computer, phone, or two-way radio to provide real-time updates.
Navigation Assistance: Monitor traffic patterns and weather conditions to help drivers avoid delays and stay safe on the road.
Logistics Coordination: Assign drivers to specific vehicles and ensure all departures and arrivals remain on schedule.
Record Keeping: Check drivers in and out of terminals and accurately transfer trip records into the company database.
Customer Service: Address inquiries and resolve concerns from customers and vendors with professionalism and care.
Route Analysis: Calculate mileage and determine travel times to help the team manage delivery costs effectively.
Working hours: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
Skills:
The ability to think quickly to find solutions for logistical delays.
Any prior experience in dispatching, scheduling, or high-volume customer service is a plus.
Education:
High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
The ability to commit to and work the full second shift schedule reliably.
The ability to relay information accurately over the phone and through written digital messages.
Comfort using computers and various software programs to track data and manage schedules.
The capacity to remain calm and focused when unexpected weather or traffic issues arise.
