Responsibilities:
- Set Up & Operate: Prepare and operate punch press machinery (single-hit and progressive dies) according to job specifications.
- Material Handling: Load metal blanks or coils; align dies and feeds accurately.
- Quality Assurance: Perform basic machine adjustments, read blueprints/work orders, and use precision gauges to inspect finished parts.
- Maintenance & Logs: Assist with die changes, minor preventative maintenance, and record daily production/downtime logs.
- Safety First: Follow safety standards, wear required PPE, and maintain a clean workspace.
Skills:
- Forklift experience or certification preferred.
Qualifications:
- Background operating punch presses, stamping equipment, or similar manufacturing machinery.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, ability to read blueprints, and comfort using calipers, micrometers, and measuring tools.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. and stand for the duration of the shift.
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and focused on safety and quality.
