We are seeking a reliable and mechanically inclined Machine Operator to join our client's Shear Department. This role is responsible for cutting raw materials, managing inventory, and performing crane operations to support production. Responsibilities:
Operate shearing equipment to cut raw material according to job specs
Control and monitor raw material inventory levels
Order materials through purchasing as needed
Operate overhead crane safely and conduct daily inspections
Follow production schedules and complete tasks on time
Accurately scan job barcodes and complete required documentation
Perform quality checks to ensure precision and consistency
Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with 6S standards
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
Working hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Skills:
Excellent communication and ability to work well with a team
Capable of working with minimal supervision
Manufacturing industry experience is a plus
Education:
High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
High school diploma (Grade 12 or equivalent) required
Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools
Mechanically inclined, especially with saws and material handling equipment
Experience operating overhead cranes (with inspection knowledge)
Able to lift up to 25 lbs
