Spherion Vermont is recruiting for a Maintenance Technician to organize and carry out tasks related to maintenance activities for an entire food/beverage manufacturing plant. You will have the opportunity to perform the assigned activities and execute them efficiently in a timely organized fashion, while maintaining standards of quality and safety procedures. Communication and collaboration with the Production Supervisor, the supervisors, the departments of production and warehouse, the mixing department, planning, as well as quality control, are essential in order to ensure the best conditions for the production of a quality product.

Responsibilities:
- Coordinates, with the supervisors, necessary repairs on equipment or within the building, in order to minimize loss of production time.
- Coordinates with his superior and the responsible person of the department concerned, mini-assignments, to minimize loss of production time and the impact on other departments.
- Ensures coordination, for major repairs and projects, with the Production Supervisor.
- Performs necessary follow-up with suppliers and contractors to minimize delays.
- Ensures to follow our policies on hygiene and safety with contractors and suppliers.
Working hours: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Skills:
Prior experience in food/beverage manufacturing is a plus.
Education:
Bachelors
Experience:
4-7 years
Qualifications:
- Bachelors of Science in Electromechanical Engineering Technology or related field.
- 2 years of experience in a similar position; OR an equivalent of education and experience.
- Good knowledge of software Microsoft Office (word processing software and databases)
- Knowledge of food industry, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Quality Control
