Core Responsibilities
In this role, you will be the bridge between design and production, ensuring maximum efficiency and process capability.
Process Optimization: Develop, improve, and optimize manufacturing workflows, fixtures, and equipment.
Tooling & Design: Utilize 3D CAD Modeling to design or source custom tools, jigs, and machinery.
Technical Support: Provide daily on-the-floor troubleshooting for equipment and process bottlenecks.
Programming: Perform offline programming for lasers, benders, and other automated manufacturing equipment.
Continuous Improvement: Conduct cost-reduction analysis and implement Lean/Six Sigma methodologies to improve quality rates.
New Product Launch: Establish process parameters and lead the technical side of new product integrations.
Safety & Compliance: Minimize environmental/safety impacts and ensure adherence to ISO standards.
Candidate Requirements
Education & Experience:
Experience: 5+ years in a manufacturing engineering role within a large organization.
Technical Specialty: Proven experience with Stainless Steel TIG welding, laser, and orbital welding processes.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering (highly preferred).
Methodology: Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma (Certifications preferred).
Technical Skills:
Software: Knowledge of ERP systems, BOM structures, and 3D CAD design criteria.
Machinery: Expert knowledge of manufacturing equipment, specifically lasers, forming, and welding.
Programming: Proficiency in offline programming for laser and bending equipment.
Professional Qualities:
Leadership: Ambitious, ethical, and a strong team player with exceptional communication skills.
Organization: Ability to prioritize complex tasks and remain adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
Documentation: Expert ability to read and interpret complex product/process documentation.
