Spherion Staffing has 1st shift welding opportunities available for a local manufacturing company. This position is responsible for performing welding in the fabrication, repair and maintenance of equipment parts, structures and other items as assigned.
1st shift schedule Mon-Fri, 7am-5:30pm.
Pay $21+/hour DOE
Responsibilities:

-Efficiently and accurately set up and operate the Stamtec Press, Press Brake and/or Floor Machine for routine established work
-Load, install and correctly set up the tools required; including computer set-up
-Verify conformance of work pieces to specifications
-Safely operate forklift and other equipment to handle materials and completed work
-Operate hand & power tools, and other equipment as required to complete projects
-Interpret blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics to determine appropriate welding process
-Operate manual and automated welding units and equipment
-Assist other team members to get job done, as well as other duties as assigned
Working hours: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Qualifications:
-Minimum 1-year experience in machine operation and welding is required
-Competent at basic dimensional measuring and math; as well as the ability to quickly learn the use of precision measurement tools
-Computer knowledge a plus
-Ability to work independently and with a team
