Position Overview
Looking for a direct-hire role with permanent stability and a 3-day weekend every single week? Spherion Staffing has partnered with a premier global fitness equipment manufacturer in Owatonna, MN to hire full-time Machine Operators for immediate permanent placement.
In this role, you will set up and run metal fabrication machinery, perform quality checks on precision parts, and work directly on the client's payroll starting Day One. If you bring a mechanical mindset, metalworking know-how, and a commitment to safe production, we want to connect with you.

Responsibilities:
- Operate & Set Up Equipment: Safely set up and operate metalworking machines including punch presses, shears, industrial saws, drill presses, timesavers, tumblers, and wash stations.
- Inspect Parts for Quality: Use precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, protractors) to verify finished pieces match blueprints and engineering specs.
- Routine Maintenance: Complete basic preventative maintenance on machinery and maintain a clean, organized 5S workstation.
- Log Production: Accurately record daily output, scrap, and quality inspections in production tracking sheets.
Working hours: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Various Shifts Available)
Skills:
- Familiarity with precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers) and basic blueprint reading.
- Comfortable working with hand tools, gauges, and torque wrenches to adjust machinery.
- Good safety practices, dependable attendance, and a team-first attitude.

Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
- 1 to 4 years of hands-on machine operation or metal fabrication experience.
