Motors/Gearbox Assembly Technician
We are seeking a Motors/Gearbox Assembly Technician to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for the disassembly, repair, and reassembly of locomotive motors and gearboxes. This is a hands-on position requiring a strong mechanical aptitude and a commitment to quality and safety.

Responsibilities:
Disassembly & Assembly: Disassemble, clean, and reassemble mechanical components of motors and gearboxes according to technical drawings and established guidelines. This includes working with bearings, gears, and other critical parts.
Inspection & Testing: Inspect and test completed units to ensure they meet all specifications, tolerances, and quality standards.
Documentation: Accurately document all work performed, including test results and any issues found during assembly or inspection.
Maintenance & Improvement: Help maintain a clean and organized work area. Participate in team meetings and initiatives to improve safety and work processes.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues that arise during the assembly process, collaborating with supervisors or engineers as needed.
Working hours: 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Skills:
Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
Experience with motor or gearbox specific assembly.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or 5S principles.
Experience with overhead cranes or hoists.
Certification in a related field (e.g., mechanical technology, industrial maintenance).

High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with mechanical assembly.
Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and schematics.
Basic math and computer skills for documentation and data entry.
Knowledge of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) regulations and procedures.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong attention to detail.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
