Spherion Staffing in Temple is looking for a dedicated Paint Prep Technician to join a growing local production team. You will play a crucial role in preparing products for final finishing while working in a steady, supportive setting where your efforts directly impact product quality.
Responsibilities:

Clean and degrease metal parts so surfaces are completely free of dirt and oils.
Sand, grind, and tape off parts so the paint sticks smoothly and evenly.
Safely hang, position, and secure items on paint line racks.
Check finished prep work for defects to make sure everything meets quality standards.
Keep work orders and product drawings with the correct parts as they move through the workspace.
Keep basic daily production sheets up to date for your team leader.
Follow all safety rules, wear your personal protective equipment, and report hazards right away.
Working hours: 5:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Skills:
Experience in a warehouse, assembly, or manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with basic surface prep work, such as sanding, grinding, or cleaning parts.
Comfort working around power tools, cleaning solutions, or moving equipment.
Strong communication skills and a positive, team-focused attitude.
Education:
High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
You can lift or move items weighing up to 45 pounds.
You are comfortable standing and moving around for the duration of your shift.
You have good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
You take pride in doing detailed work and putting safety first.
